Program Overview

Classes are held every weekday for four hours daily. Students also take part in a variety of cultural activities alongside the SILMW program students. These weekly activities include:

• Cultural Presentations
• Conversation Tables
• Movie Screenings 
• Cooking Classes

Additionally, there are special events held throughout the 2-weeks. In the past, these events have included:

• Arabic calligraphy workshop
• Ramadan Iftar
• Henna Tattoo Workshop
• Arabic-Style Guitar Workshop
• Central Illinois Mosque & Islamic Center Field Trip
• University Campus and Library Tour
• Visit to Spurlock Museum
• Game Nights
