Professor Ryan Shosted featured by the U of I News Bureau for developing resources for Deseret

Professor Ryan Shosted and Computer Science Professor Neal Davis collaborated to make Deseret Alphabet texts and searchable transcriptions available online for people to study. The Deseret Alphabet was created by the Mormons and used briefly in the 19th century, mostly for official documents produced by the church. The effort was also supported by the collections from the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Illinois.
