Celebrating International Education Week with a Taste of Language

Date
11/02/23

International Education Week is an annual event that aims to celebrate global education, cultural exchange, and scholarship as well as to raise awareness about the breadth of international education activities and resources available in our community. This event is sponsored by International Student and Scholar Services, Illinois Extension, and the School of Literatures, Cultures, and Linguistics.

This year, ESL Lecturer Eva Miszoglad is coordinating the Taste of Language event, which features faculty (including Vieux Toure and  Azadeh Aghighi) as well as graduate students (including  MA-TESOL students Helen Mugo,  Sibel Arikoglu & Suhyeon Lee)  sharing their L1 and giving a brief 'taste' to anyone interested in language learning. Come and take a look at what it would look like for you to learn languages like Hungarian, Swahili, Turkish, Korean, Persian, Arabic, and Wolof! This event will take place on November 7, 2023 at 6:00 PM Central Time via Zoom. Check out the full IEW event calendar here.
