Biography
I am a visiting Assistant Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics at UIUC. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in August of 2023, where I held a Mellon Predoctoral Fellowship and a Language Learning Dissertation Grant for my dissertation.
My research program focuses on investigating how adult second language learners acquire and process syntax and semantics. I explore the impact of linguistic and cognitive factors on their development and ultimate attainment. My work also extends to Chinese linguistics applying formal and psycholinguistic approaches. To address these questions, I employ various experimental methods, including judgment tasks, self-paced reading, and eye-tracking techniques, among others.
